Finishing Efficiency Across Europe's Top 5 Leagues

In this analysis, we dive into finishing efficiency across Europe’s top five leagues: Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1. Using data sourced from FBref, I created Python-generated scatter plots that compare each team’s non-penalty expected goals (npxG) per 90 minutes with their actual goals scored per 90 minutes.

These visualizations reveal which teams are converting chances at an exceptional rate and who may be underperforming based on the quality of their opportunities. It’s a closer look at the efficiency of some of Europe’s most exciting teams, offering insights into which clubs are truly making the most of their scoring chances.
